Alan Taylor is a financial and insurance agent and has been with Farmers Financial Services for over 15 yrs. He is married to Melissa and they have 5 children, 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The enjoy travelling, cooking and playing with their grandkids.
Immediate Past President-David Sanders
David Sanders is a Distribution Control Center Supervisor for the Company’s Central Distribution Control Center. The role of the Central Distribution Control Center is to maintain control of Alabama Power’s power distribution system for the Company’s territory in central and southeast Alabama and the Mobile area at certain times of the day. In this capacity, David also serves as a liaison between the Company’s accounting functions and power delivery in the areas covered as well. David grew up in Eutaw, Alabama, and graduated from The University of Alabama in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce and Business Administration and a Second Major in Corporate Finance. He graduated from Auburn University – Montgomery in 1991 with a Master of Business Administration Degree. In addition to various professional responsibilities, David is active at St. James United Methodist Church in Montgomery. He is also a member of the Montgomery Lions Club for which he served as a board member and serves on the Baptist Medical Center East Advisory Board. He is active with several charitable causes and organizations, most notably Brantwood Children’s Home and Young Life-Montgomery. Most recently, he participated in Montgomery’s highly successful 2016 Real Men Wear Pink campaign to help benefit the American Cancer Society. David has served in a leadership capacity in a number of organizations: president of the Wetumpka Area Chamber of Commerce, president of the Wetumpka Lions Club, past board member of the Elmore County Community Foundation, the Elmore County Economic Development Authority, the River Region United Way, the Elmore County Partnership for Children and Junior Achievement of East Alabama-West Georgia. David is also a graduate of the 2003-2004 Leadership Elmore County class. David and his wife, Leslie, live in Montgomery and have two children, Brittany Leigh and Blake David, and a son-in-law, Ralph Norman.
1st Vice President-Amy Strickland
After meeting her husband in Dothan and graduating from Troy University, Amy moved with her family to Montgomery, Al in the summer of 1996. She has served as office manager with McPhillips Shinbaum for the past 25 years, additionally using her paralegal degree to work on personal injury cases with the senior attorneys. As a member of the Montgomery Lions club, she has served as Board Secretary, co-chair & chair of the annual Chili Cook-off held each October for the past 4 years.
Amy also provides treasury services for the Fitzgerald Museum and Bellwood HOA. She sits on the executive board for the Cancer Wellness Foundation and Fitzgerald Museum. She is a member of SHRM, NAPA, and the ABA.
In 2021, Amy opened up Collaborative Minds LLC, a digital marketing agency, to serve the Tri-County area. She is the owner and CEO of the company.
Amy is married to Terry and they have 2 children: Stacey and Jonathan and 2 grandchildren: Makayla and Grace. Amy and Terry reside in Prattville, Al. and enjoy spending time & traveling with their family.
2nd Vice President-Tanika Finney
Since 2017, Tanika Finney has managed her firm “The Law Office of Tanika L. Finney”. She also joined the law firm of McPhillips Shinbaum as of counsel in 2017, where she works with Julian McPhillips on employment discrimination cases. Mrs. Finney is a graduate of Charlotte School of Law in Charlotte, North Carolina. She holds both an Alabama and Georgia license to practice law. Mrs. Finney is a member of the Georgia, Alabama and American Bar Association, as well as the Alabama Association of Justice. Mrs. Finney serves on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity
Treasurer-Wesley Blake
Wes Blake is a CPA and has been with Aldridge, Borden and Company for over 15 years. He is married to Callis and they have 3 children: Fuller (6), Emily James (4) and Charlie (1). Wes was born in Montgomery and graduated from Auburn University in 2004. He is a member of First Baptist Church, treasurer of the Landmarks Foundation, and past president of the Montgomery Auburn Club.
